Psients is a scientist-turned-artist exploring the intersection of biology, sound, and music. His work centers on developing and performing alongside a new kind of 'living' instruments to meditate on posthumanism, multi-agency intelligence, and our relationships with manipulated living systems.

In the search to link scientific innovation with musical comprehensibility, his work spans techniques including biotechnology, sound design, and live performance. Psients received training as a neuroscientist and was previously involved in biomedical research, focusing on the development of next-generation pharmaceuticals (electric "electroceutical" medicines) and synthetic biology.
